Shaun J. Black’s photography journey began as a natural passion, inspired by his father.

Despite earning a degree in Computer Studies, Shaun followed his heart and now currently manage and operate John F. Black Photography. Since then, he’s directed and shot millions of social media-worthy images, from events to intimate moments.

Beyond his studio work, Shaun has pursued dynamic projects, including high-energy cinematography for urban brands, as well as his own digital showcase. His talent and experience have earned him a reputation as one of the Virgin Islands’ premier visual artists.

Delrosa Hillhouse, Pastry Chef/Cake Designer

A pastry Chef/ Cake designer who developed a passion for baking at the young age of 16. Her inspiration to follow her dreams comes from the love of arts and sweets. Her passion allows her to express herself in the most creative way possible. After attending Bonnie Gordon College in Toronto, Canada she decided to start her own business “Delrosa’s Cake Boutique”. It took Delrosa a few years to get it right, but we can confidently saythe Delrosa is here to officially serve you for all of your, wedding, special occassion and desserts needs. 

Andria Flax, Author

Andria D. Flax, a daughter of the soil, has been actively writing since she retired after thirty
hectic years in the banking field. She published her first book, ‘The Way We Were’, in 2010.
A nominee for a prestigious Virgin Islands Icon Award in 2025 in the Writers/Publishers
category, she participated in the Carifesta XV celebrations held in Bridgetown, Barbados, in
August 2025.

Andria absolutely adores playing with words and has identified her passion in researching and
documenting information on long-lived seniors in the Territory of the Virgin Islands—
those 90 years and over—in an effort to preserve interesting facets of their lives and legacies,
as well as important information of cultural, historical, and traditional significance, for future
generations. She also enjoys researching local families, peeling through generational layers as
far back as existing records allow.

Her specialty is non-fiction writing, and to date, Andria has published six books, including ‘A
Walk Through The Valley’, ‘And The Journey Continues…’, and a children’s book, ‘In The
Beehive: The Regal Queen, The Lazy Drone & The Busy Worker Bee’. She now concentrates
on documenting her family history but is quick to assure that several more books are in the
pipeline, in various stages of completion.

For her mantra, she echoes words of wisdom made famous by world-renowned poet, Maya
Angelou: “If you’re going to live, leave a legacy. Make a mark on the world that can’t be
erased.”
