- Anita Pinzi, Educator
Anita Pinzi is an English Lecturer at HLSCC, where she teaches Literary and Cultural Theory, Philosophy, and Caribbean Literature, among other subjects. With a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York, her research has focused on themes of migration, bilingualism, gender, and postcolonialism. Born and raised in Italy, educated in the US, and having made the BVI her home for the past decade, she cherishes cross-cultural and trans-linguistic experiences which have led her to translate Meena Alexander’s poetry collection In Praise of Fragments, and Gezim Hajdari’s epic poem The poem of Exile.
