Delma ‘Deci’ Tavernier, is known as the “Songbird” as she enchantingly serenades in multiple styles and languages including English, Spanish, French and Creole.
Delma’s first taste of live entertainment was when she joined a local reggae band called, “Sub-Urban Band” in Dominica.
In 2008, Delma moved to the British Virgin Islands where she continued to sing with entertainment bands at various locations including other islands within the territory. She has been a member of the ‘RAW’ band, the ‘Uprising Band’, the ‘Too Smooth Band’, and the ‘Hot Sauce Band’ with Al Broderick. She is presently the female lead singer / vocalist with the ‘Evolution Band’, the ‘Smuggling Suitcase’ band and ‘Just The Three of Us’ band, along with being a solo artist.
In 2019, Delma wrote a song called ‘Skinny Girl’ for the Evolution Band, which gives her audience a sense of what it was like growing up as a skinny girl in the Caribbean
