- Dr. Patricia Turnbull, Author, Poet
Dr. Patricia Turnbull is a writer and independent scholar. She is a former Principal lecturer at H.Lavity Stoutt Community College where she served as inaugural Head of the Division of Language, Literature and Communications. A Commonwealth Fellow in Cultural Studies and James Michenor Fellow in Caribbean Writing, she was awarded the 2017 BVI Badge of Honour for her work in education and culture. Recently, Dr. Turnbull helped coordinate the anthology, “Where I see the Sun: Contemporary Poetry in the Virgin Islands.” Her writing has appeared in various publications and she has written three books of her own.
