Nia is a media professional and writer born and raised in the Virgin Islands. She has a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Government and Politics from St. John’s University, New York City. Nia has been creating poetry from a very young age. Her poems have allowed her to place in several local poetry competitions and have been published in the poetry anthology, ‘Where I See the Sun: Contemporary Poetry in the Virgin Islands.’ Nia is currently the Communications Officer responsible for the Deputy Governor’s Office and is co-host of the ‘Die Happy Podcast,’ the number one ranked podcast in the BVI.
